Sticky Fingers at St. Bernadette’s Church?

Curious note over at the Shrine Church of St. Bernadette

Given some recent unfortunate events, ladies are encouraged to take their pocketbooks with them while going up to Holy Communion.

And you thought this was leading to a pedo joke.

Apparently someone’s been jacking purses. Which makes us wonder if this later note is really about religious process after all

A Special Request – Parishioners are asked not to leave Mass before the priest exits the church.  While it is sometimes but not always necessary for some parishioners to leave Mass early, all should plan to stay until the end of the Mass.

Apparently the all-powerful all-seeing almighty God… needs a little help with security.
