Sunset Park Book Discussion (Monday July 13)

For our literati over in Sunset Park, the BPL set up a book discussion for New York Times Beststeller “The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society”. Discussion participants are encouraged to read the book and then come in and discuss it with their neighbors. You can also check out Random House’s blog on the book here. The book discussion will be held at the Sunset Park Public Library, at 630pm on July 13th

Mary Ann Shaffer, who passed away in February 2008, worked as an editor, librarian, and in bookshops. The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society was her first novel.Her niece, Annie Barrows, is the author of the children’s series Ivy and Bean, as well as The Magic Half. She lives in northern California.
